It could be a historic game for the Vegas Golden Knights as a win could see the team crowned Stanley Cup champions for the first time. The team has only been playing in the NHL since the 2017/18 season and has been extremely successful, because they made it to the final in their first season. Now they could get the first title. After 4 games against the Florida Panthers, they lead the series 3-1 and now also have home advantage on their side. In contrast to their opponents, the underdogs from Florida are quite surprising in the finals, because in the regular season they only managed 8th place.

They have lived up to this role so far, because in the finals they lead the series against the Florida Panthers 3-1.They have won the two previous home games, away from home they won the last game by a narrow margin of 2-3.
After 4 playoff appearances in the past 5 years, the Vegas Golden Knights are already a serious franchise in the NHL. The team played the strongest regular season of any team in the west and had a record of 38 wins and 22 losses. In the previous playoffs they have a record of 15 wins and 6 losses. With 79 goals, they have by far the best offense of any team. In the previous finals, too, the offensive dominated in the first place. In each game they scored at least 3 goals. Can Florida Panthers turn this around?
The Panthers haven't been the most successful franchise in the NHL in recent years. Between the years 2016 and 2018 they missed the playoffs for the 3rd time in a row. In the past 3 years they were in the playoffs, but they always failed quite early. Last season ended up in the semifinals against Tampa. Also this year it comes as a surprise that they made it to the finals, because in the regular season it was only enough for 8th place.This made them the last team to qualify for the playoffs. However, after the first 4 games, the title has moved further into the distance, because they are 3-1 behind in the series. The game in Las Vegas must therefore be won. Should they succeed, they would have home advantage again in game number 5 and could equalize the series.
Although the Panthers didn't play a particularly good regular season, they were able to improve significantly in the playoffs. There they defeated the big favorites the Boston Bruins in 7 games in the first round. It was the biggest upset of the playoffs so far. The next big hurdle was the Toronto Maple Leafs in round 2. The Canadians ended the regular season in 4th place. But the Panthers also prevailed in this duel and even quite confidently with 4-1. In the Conference Finals they then dueled with the Carolina Hurricanes. They were the 2nd best team of the regular season behind the Boston Bruins. But Florida won the series 4-0!

We looked at the last direct duels between the two franchises, but we left out the playoff games. In the regular season, the last games of these two teams were very even. The last 4 duels ended with 2 wins for the Golden Knights and 2 wins for the Panthers. The home team was always able to win the game, which is why the home advantage clearly speaks for Las Vegas.
The Golden Knights lead the series 3-1 and are arguably the best team in the NHL right now. We would still think the Florida Panthers could surprise them, but the home field advantage also clearly speaks for Las Vegas. After all, they were all able to win the last 4 home duels against the Panthers. We would therefore bet on the favorite and give a tip 1. The best offense in the league also scored 12 goals in the first two home games. We would therefore recommend over 5.5 hits as an alternative to an over/under bet.
