Who will join the La Liga?
Deportivo Alaves and SD Eibar share the dream of promotion. Granada FC (1st place) and UD Las Palmas (2nd place) have already made it into La Liga. In La Liga 2, placings 3rd through 6th qualify for participation in the promotion round. Here Deportivo Alaves took fourth place. SD Eibar is one rank below. Both teams ended the season with 71 points, just one point behind second place. It was very tight in the Spanish House of Commons.
The first leg between the two opponents also ended closely. Because SD Eibar held the 1-1 despite playing with 10 players for the last 20 minutes. In fact, the home side were consistently the better team. Or did Alaves only save for the second leg?

Is home strength the key to Alaves' success?
Deportivo Alaves have claimed fourth place in La Liga 2. In the end, the distance to the second in the table was only one point. 19 wins and 14 draws earned the team 71 points. The defensive in particular is a real bulwark in their own arena.
Eibar’s form is a mystery
Of course, the shape curve of the SD Eibar is not bad either. Otherwise it wouldn't have been enough for fifth place in La Liga 2. However, a negative trend can be seen at Eibar. The club could have achieved more and gambled away the good starting position in the final sprint. To prove this claim, let's look at the five most recent results of fifth place: 1-0 (SD Huesca), 2-2 (Sporting Gijón), 0-1 (Racing Santander), 0-1 (UD Las Palmas) and 1-1 (Granada). As a result, there was only one threesome in the last five matches. However, what is also striking is that in four of the last five games there have been at most two goals.
Alaves - Eibar: What to expect?
In total, Deportivo Alaves and SD Eibar met in 42 games. Eibar is ahead with 17 wins. But Alaves won at least 14 matches. Which leaves eleven draws. At 39-50 goals, the goal difference tends to be few. In this regard, we want to mention at least the two most recent results from the current season in La Liga 2.
