Klopp’s 1000th match is a crisis duel

Liverpool analysis
The former Mainz and Dortmund coach would love to celebrate his day of honor with a sense of achievement, but the Reds are dealing with a real Kloppo nemesis. The LFC was only able to win six of the 19 competitive matches against the Blues from London under the direction of the German manager. Klopp has not had a worse win rate against any other English club that the 55-year-old has met at least ten times.
From a purely sporting point of view, the starting position before this direct duel is completely different than in the past. Standing in ninth and tenth place, both teams are clearly lagging behind their own expectations. There is a risk of losing the connection to the Champions League places at an early stage.
The last few weeks have been disastrously bad, so there is a lot of pressure on the boiler ahead of the encounter on Saturday afternoon. Because the LFC at least still has the home advantage on its side, the forecast for the home side's success between Liverpool and Chelsea is currently being quoted lower.
In addition, the series of goals against is threatening to continue, because keeper Alisson Becker has always had to reach behind him at least once for eight consecutive league matches. The last time there were nine PL games in a row without a clean sheet was more than six years ago. If we are already writing about a crisis in relation to Liverpool Football Club, superlatives in a negative sense would even be needed for Chelsea FC. In view of the latest results, the form of the capital club is currently even more worrying than the condition of the upcoming opponent.
In fact, six of the last nine competitive games across all competitions were lost . Only two of the last ten Premier League games have been victorious. Just under a week ago, the Blues beat Crystal Palace 1-0 at home, but once again failed to impress in terms of football.
Graham Potter, who was brought to Stamford Bridge as Tuchel's successor for a considerable transfer fee, has long been criticized. The fans are appalled by the development of their club, which was still the Champions League winner in 2021 and actually wanted to take part in the title race in England this year . In view of the performances shown, we are certainly better advised not to predict an away win between Liverpool and Chelsea on Saturday.
This is also supported by the frustrating away record, because the Blues have not won in five PL guest appearances. Two points in that period have seen the Londoners slip to eighth in the away table. Liverpool - Tottenham: What to expect?
The teams in the top English division played 158 games. Liverpool clearly leads the direct comparison with 70 wins compared to 51 defeats. The LFC has only lost two of the last 15 Premier League matches (six wins, seven draws).
Last season, the first and second leg ended in a draw. However, there have never been three draws in a row between these teams at league level. Also exciting is the fact that in the last 17 PL duels the respective home team was only able to keep the upper hand in three cases. Nonetheless, between Liverpool and Chelsea, the betting odds on the three-way market are pretty clearly in favor of the Reds.
It is a real crisis duel. There is no other way to describe the starting position with ninth place for the LFC and tenth place for the Blues. LFC gets at least one point and a maximum of three goals are scored in the course of the game. Players who want to risk a bit, can bet on Liverpool to win.
