Roma against the Europa League specialist
It's an explosive duel that awaits us this year in the Europa League final. With FC Sevilla, the record winner of this competition meets the reigning and at the same time first winner of the Europa Conference League. AS Roma also has the unique opportunity to win the Europa League just one year after the Conference League triumph.

Can Sevilla FC top off a poor season?
Of course, the Andalusians are not having a good season this year. In the Champions League they were eliminated in the group stage and in the domestic La Liga they are only 11th with one game to go. With 49 points on the account, a win would still have a chance of reaching 7th place and would therefore qualify for the Conference League. Roma are betting everything on the Europa League
AS Roma had a very good season in Serie A for a long time. Recently, however, the results were no longer correct and the focus was clearly shifted to the Europa League. So far this plan has worked out very well because they made it to the final and in Jose Mourinho they have a coach who knows exactly how to win a final. In Serie A, on the other hand, they no longer have a chance of an international starting place. Standing in 6th place, they are only one point behind Atalanta Bergamo, who are currently claiming the Europa League place. AS Roma couldn't win the last 6 games in the league and on the last matchday they even lost to AC Fiorentina.
The only win in recent weeks came against Bayer 04 Leverkusen in the semifinals when they won 1-0 at home. After that, a 0-0 draw was enough. While Roma are among the best defensive teams this season, they have been struggling offensively lately. They have only scored 4 goals in the last 6 competitive games.
The Argentinian superstar Dybala has been struggling with minor injuries in recent weeks and has rarely made the starting line-up. With 11 goals and 7 assists, he is still by far the best scorer in the team. In the final of the Europa League, the Argentine should be back in the starting line-up. With Rui Patricio and Nemanja Matic, however, two other top performers are questionable for the final. Captain Lorenzo Pellegrini, on the other hand, will be available. With 4 goals, the Italian is the most successful goalscorer for the Romans in the Europa League together with Paulo Dybala.
Sevilla - Roma: What to expect?
In fact, the duel between AS Roma and FC Sevilla only happened once. But this is not long ago, because in the 2019/20 season they also met in the Europa League. At that time, however, it was the round of 16 that was decided in just one game. The Spaniards prevailed 2-0 at home and thus entered the quarter-finals. One of the scorers was called Youssef En-Nesyri, who will also take part in the final.
It's hard to pick a favorite here. The quality of the two teams is too similar. Sevilla may be Europa League record winners, but Roma have an incredibly experienced coach on the touchline in Jose Mourinho. We could therefore very well imagine a draw after 90 minutes. Also, don't expect too many goals, both teams are more defensive. With Under 2.5 goals you should be on the safe side. The tip for Under 1.5 goals would also be suitable as a risk tip.
