There is hardly a match that is more eagerly awaited than the second leg between Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain. The three-time Champions League winner Bayern receives the opponents from Paris at home and is considered the clear favorite.

Bayern Munich having another good season. But will it be a great one?

For a long time, Munich was considered the undisputed number one in German football. They have won the Bundesliga ten times in a row and are by far the German record champions. Now this season it looks like they still have a tough fight ahead of them to secure Bundesliga title number eleven. 

Nevertheless, Bayern Munich are credited with the highest chances of winning the league. The chances are also good in the other competitions. As you would expect from a league leader, Bayern are in their usual good form. They show almost every weekend and on Champions League matchdays during the week that they are one of the best teams in the world. This was impressively demonstrated in games such as the victories against Paris and Union Berlin. However, there have always been games in the current season in which they could not convince. Paris Saint-Germain facing another European disappointment 

Paris is a club with high ambitions. One would love to win every possible competition, every year. At least at the national level, this seems to be working well. For years they have been the driving force in the league and in the cup. In the current season, however, it seems like they'll just have to settle for winning the championship. In the cup they were eliminated in the round of 16 against Olympique Marseille. In addition to that, there are also no high hopes of progressing in the Champions League. At least the league win seems certain, because after 26 matchdays they already have eleven points ahead of the second in the table.

At least since the takeover and the associated financial injection, the Champions League has been the top priority for FC Paris Saint-Germain. They try to achieve this goal by uniting some of the best players in the world in one team. This happens with high transfer fees and a decent payroll. One is often criticized for throwing money around and not relying on a tactical plan. But whether you're a Paris fan or not, there's no denying that they play football convincingly. So far, however, it has not been enough to win the premier class and the chances of being successful in the current season are surprisingly low.

Recently they had some problems against stronger opponents. It seemed like they could fall into a crisis of form. They lost to Marseille, Monaco and Munich. That was three losses in a row. Since then they could win all three games played again. The record against the supposedly stronger opponents leaves little hope. If they can't present themselves better in these games, it will probably only remain with national successes in the future.

With the combination of Neymar, Mbappe and Messi you actually have one of the world's best trios. Nevertheless, there are always rumors about all possible departures and above all about inconsistencies and chemical problems in the team. In addition to the well-known rumors about Vice World Champion Mbappe and World Champion Lionel Messi, there have also been rumors recently about Neymar Juniors leaving, which they signed for over 200 million euros from FC Barcelona. It seems that an exciting and eventful summer with an interesting transfer phase could lie ahead.
